Certifications from CertainTeed
CertainTeed Reputable Roofer - The requirements for this
title entail the successful completion of the Quality Master
program by one company representative, a consistent customer
satisfaction rating in CertainTeed Roofer’s TrackRecord program,
three years in the roofing contracting business, and a minimum of
thirty completed jobs per year.
Quality Master - Is a title
held by salespersons. The salesperson must read and understand CertainTeed’s Shingle Technology Manual and also pass a series of
tests on the subject. This gives them great knowledge on how the
shingles are made and all the benefits provided by CertainTeed
shingles.
Master Shingle Applicator - An installer earns this title after
completing a series of tests in the Shingle Applicator’s Manual.
The SAM covers good workmanship practices, estimating,
ventilation, underlayments, flashing, repairs, and important
issues of professionalism on the job.
Select Shingle Roofer - The Select Shingle Roofer Program is
designed for companies that represent the top 1% of the profession
and have already laid the groundwork by participating in the
Master Shingle Applicator and Quality Master programs.
Air Vent, Inc. - Certified in the installation of attic
ventilation systems designed by Air Vent, Inc.
Master Craftsman - Certified by the following manufacturers of
quality roofing & siding products: Gerard, Metro, Metal Works, CertainTeed, and Owens Corning.
